Bloomberg: Bitcoin spot ETF could be launched in mid-2023

James Seiffart and Eric Balciunas discussed when a Bitcoin spot ETF might be approved. Bloomberg analysts believe that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may approve the ETF fund in mid-2023.

The SEC wants to expand the definition of “exchange”, which will bring cryptocurrency platforms into the jurisdiction of the agency. After that, ETFs in the spot market will get the green light.

Bloomberg experts noted that the new definition of “exchange” also affects cryptocurrency platforms. This indicates the desire of the SEC to control the digital asset market.
