Solana went offline after a spike in transactions

Transactions were disabled for seven hours in the Solana cryptocurrency blockchain. The reason was a sharp increase in the number of operations, which the network could not cope with.

Later, one of the network’s validators sent out a document to other node holders suggesting a software restart on slot 131973970. This helped, and the Solana network was back up and running.

Now developers and engineers are figuring out why the altcoin blockchain could not recover from the attack.
