Spotify started testing NFT support

Streaming music service Spotify is exploring the use of NFTs on the platform.

Based on the profiles of indie band The Wombats and DJ Steve Aoki, Spotify is testing NFT placement. Non-fungible tokens can be purchased on external marketplaces. The service does not plan to sell tokens directly yet.

Testing is being conducted for a limited number of users of the Spotify Android app in the United States. If successful, the company does not exclude the full implementation of the feature for all artists.
