Yesterday, the famous luxury Italian brand Gucci announced they have made a purchase of land in The Sandbox, Ethereum-based metaverse.
Their vision is to bring thematic experiences to the users, modeled from the Gucci Vault platform which now owns virtual goods such as NFTs.
The company also intends to produce fashion items available for purchase by players of The Sandbox’s metaverse.
What got our attention is also the statement of Sebastien Borget, the COO of Sandbox, saying: “For a new generation of players, virtual fashion is as important as real-life fashion”.
As our lives are migrating into the virtual and online territory, our identity and branding become more meaningful to consumers.
Gucci has already released many NFTs and it continues to spread over the web3.
