After being sued by the DeFi aggregator KeyFi, Celsius has now responded with a countersuit. The crypto lending company alleges that KeyFi stole millions of dollars from Celsius wallets.

According to Celsius’ suit, KeyFi used the stolen money to acquire NFTs and interests in numerous firms related to blockchain. In order to cover the trace of money, KeyFi allegedly utilized the crypto mixing service, Tornado Cash.

To remind the readers, KeyFi, which is in Celsius’ ownership, sued the crypto lender in July 2022. Celsius was charged with failing to protect KeyFi’s deposits and honor the contractual obligations.

That same month, Celsius filed for bankruptcy. We now await further news in its ongoing saga.
