1inch announced that it will airdrop free coins in its Merkle drop, in order to reward its Optimism users. 3,782 regular users of the 1inch DEX aggregator will equally receive 300,000 OP tokens in total.
After 1inch was deployed on the Optimism layer-2 scaling solution last year, this resulted in faster transactions and increased activity. As of now, more than 45,000 users who have utilized 1inch protocols on it also chose Optimism for handling most of their transactions.
Thus, 1inch is looking to additionally incentive its Optimism users. According to CoinMarketCap, its OP token is currently trading at $1.11. Apart from having monetary value, OP also gives holders the right to participate in Optimism’s governing process.
